Are you looking for a community where you can develop free and open-source software (FOSSware) and exchange expertise?

Would you like support (crowdsourcing) for organizing, coordinating, and further developing your FOSSware?

We at busFaktor() e.V. offer you a network of people who are also concerned with the use and maintenance of free and open source software (FOSSware). We achieve this through open events, non-profit educational offerings, and software projects, among other things.

Software operators, server administrators, designers, and interested users are also welcome. You can help us sustain our services by making a donation or becoming a supporting member.

Feel free to contact us or tell us about your projects.

Why FOSSware?

Because a free society needs free and open software that serves its users, and requires an infrastructure that is independent of individual interest groups.

Why busFaktor?

Many projects run into difficulties when bearers of knowledge drop out. The higher their number (= the bus factor), the more likely the long-term success of the project.

In risk management, the bus factor refers to the number of bearers of knowledge who can be run over by a bus before a project fails.

The busFaktor() association is committed to spreading knowledge and distributing tasks among more people in order to make projects resilient and sustainable.
